NEW SINGLE BY NIDALA - SUGAR IN THE RAIN - OUT NOW!
NEW SINGLE BY NIDALA - SUGAR IN THE RAIN - OUT NOW!

In her radiant new single, "Sugar in the Rain," NIDALA explores the challenges and unexpected sweetness of rebuilding after life-altering loss and change. Following a near-fatal motorbike accident in late 2024, NIDALA unexpectedly became her sister’s primary caregiver, with days revolving around hospitals, immense pain, and recovery. Instead of narrating a tale of loss, "Sugar in the Rain" focuses on what endures. It honors the quiet resilience of family, the strength found in supporting one another, and the small moments of joy that can arise even amidst deep hardship.

Released on Friday, 28th August 2026, via GYRO, the song offers a glimpse into Nidala's eagerly awaited debut album. Co-written and produced with Lach Bostock (Mansionair), "Sugar in the Rain" combines Nidala's heartfelt storytelling with Bostock's expansive production, merging warm electronic textures, organic instrumentation, and an unmistakable sense of emotional intimacy.

A proud Jabirr-Jabirr and Djugun artist, NIDALA continues to create music deeply connected to country, culture, and lived experience. Her songwriting invites listeners into stories, offering space for reflection, healing, and connection.

After acclaimed performances at Dark Mofo and Dreamtime at the 'G', "Sugar in the Rain" signifies the beginning of a new creative chapter for NIDALA.

"Sugar in the Rain" out now, via GYRO on all major streaming platforms, ahead of her much anticipated album early 2027.
